Illinois Basin

The Illinois Basin has been the focal point since Pioneer Oil Company’s inception In 1972. Pioneer currently operates over 1000 wells in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky. We continue to focus on the development of oil and gas prospects in the Illinois Basin utilizing in-house resources as well as outside professionals. 

Pioneer has demonstrated the ability to work in environmentally sensitive areas operating wells on the campus of Indiana State University in downtown Terre Haute, Indiana, as well as facilities in Harmonie State Parkin Posey County Indiana, and on the campus of the University of Southern Indiana. Pioneer has acquired additional oil assets in western Kentucky and continues to focus on increasing production.  

Kansas

Pioneer Oil Company has expanded its operations, exploration and production into the State of Kansas. Our efforts to increase the oil and gas prospects in Kansas are a great compliment to our ongoing endeavors in the Illinois Basin.
